KAAN(Korean American Adoptee Adoptive Family Network)에서 2004년 컨퍼런스를 샌프란시스코 공항근처에 소재한 Clarion Hotel에서 개최합니다.

이번에 열리는 제6차 KAAN 컨퍼런스는 한국인 입양에 관련된 개인, 단체가 참석하며 회원간의 정보교환을 통하여 한국정부, 입양아, 입양가족 및 미주 한인 커뮤니티가 서로 도움을 받을 수 있도록 준비하고 있습니다. KAAN 컨퍼런스에 대하여 보다 자세한 내용을 알고 싶으신 분은 http://www.kaanconference.com 을 참조하십시요.

KAAN에서 7월 24일 오전9시부터 오후5시까지 작가 사인회에서 서적판매를 도와 주실 2-3명의 volunteer를 구하고 있습니다. 관심이 있으신 분은 김모한(mohankim@email.sjsu.edu)교수에게 연락 바랍니다.

KAAN`s Mission is:
to network groups and individuals related to Korean adoptions. The network facilitates dialogue, promotes resource sharing, and disseminates information. KAAN works closely with its members, the Korean American community, and the Korean government to promote awareness of Korean adoption issues and develop programs that will benefit both the adoption and Korean communities.

What is KAAN?
KAAN is the Korean American Adoptee Adoptive Family Network. Adoptees, adoptive parents and Korean Americans support KAAN, making it a most inclusive organization. KAAN is a network which links individuals and organizations across the United States, Canada, Korea, and the world.

The Sixth Annual KAAN Conference will bring members of the local, national and international Korean adoption community together with the Korean American community for a program that is designed to encourage increased awareness of all of the issues that face Korean Americans today. The program has been designed to balance the needs of the key members of our community: adoptees, adoptive parents, and Korean Americans. Special programs for kids old enough to be away from their parents for a day and teens with opportunities to see San Francisco뭩 Asian Neighborhoods with volunteers from the Korean American Coalition뭩 San Francisco Chapter, as well as chances to socialize as a group will be provided. We regret that we cannot provide activities for children who are unable to be away for the day or to provide child care services.
