Job Description: Director of Intermodal Business Development and Operations
The Director of Intermodal Business Development and Operations is responsible for spearheading organic business growth within the United States, focusing on developing strategic partnerships with U.S.-based companies. This role combines a strategic approach to sales and business development with a deep understanding of operational processes in the intermodal sector, aiming to drive sustainable growth and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
Proven track record in developing business strategies and partnerships, particularly with U.S.-based companies.
Experience in versatile roles, adaptable to wearing multiple hats in a dynamic environment.
Strong leadership skills with experience in managing diverse teams.
Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
Comprehensive understanding of the intermodal sector’s trends, challenges, and regulatory environment.
Huge plus with one who worked with Hanjin or familiar with their system.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute business strategies targeting growth through partnerships with U.S.-based companies.
Identify and capitalize on organic business opportunities in the intermodal sector across the United States.
Network actively to establish and nurture relationships with potential business partners and clients.
Design and optimize operational processes to ensure efficiency and scalability in line with business growth.
Conduct market analysis to stay informed of industry trends and competitive dynamics.
Collaborate with senior management to set comprehensive goals, budgets, and project timelines.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team, fostering a culture of excellence in business development and operations.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.
