    Summary

    The successful candidate for the Data Connectivity and Visibility Specialist must possess a comprehensive knowledge of GLOVIS continent’s diverse business functions, with a strong emphasis on leveraging IT technology as a key enabler. The primary responsibilities will include leading application development, overseeing the deployment of SAP ERP and MS Teams, and coordinating security measures for a distributed computing environment. Furthermore, the ideal candidate will proactively seek out and implement new IT technologies and platforms to help GLOVIS achieve its goals.

    Responsibilities

    Primary Functions
    Undertakes interface development with external systems that necessitate integration with GLOVIS systems, including TMS, I-VELES, GLOVE, GTMS, GQPMS, GPPM, GCS, GWMS, Web JIS, ELIS, TOTVS, ATLAS, SAP ERP etc.
    Collaborates with both internal and external partners to address business requirements and deliver optimal solutions to meet their needs.
    Undertakes various tasks, including interface development, partner collaboration, design verification, result analysis, monitoring, testing, application, and stabilization, among others.
    Provides assistance in defining field requirements, selecting interface data items, determining data format, communication protocols, and other related tasks.
    Evaluates and updates service level standards, policies, training materials, and best practices.
    Enforces defined system processes, policies, and procedures.
    Researches and implements technological strategic solutions.
    Identifies and makes recommendations for automation opportunities.
    Analyzing field data, recommending improvement strategies, overseeing project implementation, and tracking performance results.
    Lead projects through collaboration with internal and external users, partners, and stakeholders to identify problems and opportunities for improvement, and to execute solutions that meet the needs of all involved parties.
    Secondary Functions
    Conduct platform & cloud services sourcing based on the requirements of and in alignment with the strategic interest area of GLOVIS like WMS, TMS, CRM, MS365, etc
    Involve staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and business trends, such as Mobility, Digital Transformation, Forwarding Connectivity, and Autonomous technology, and utilizing this knowledge to develop IT strategies that support business growth and success
    Deliver new valuable content for existing business and end-user experience (New processes based upon new tech, best practices, IT trend, case study for proof of concept)
    Pilot and support the implementation of new and emerging digitally-enabled logistics, including used car, trading, and e-business solutions and business models that have the potential to drive incremental growth for GLOVIS
    Search for RPA-applicable tasks in all corporations and businesses within GLOVIS Americas, defining requirements, developing or collaborating with partners, testing, applying, and stabilizing the RPA solution
    Tertiary Functions
    Support for planning and tracking all IT project issue and schedules, establishing milestones and assigning AHQ management direction, identifying dependencies, execute, evaluate annual project reporting. Align strategies with the overarching IT strategies and advancing technology solutions to support business growth & opportunities
    Propose and plan projects to explore new business model and technical competencies relative to GLOVIS current core technology and business practices
    Reporting for upper management concerning all IT project, improvement
    Other Duties as Assigned

    Compensation Range
    $97,000 – $105,000 per year

    Skills

    Strong know-how of technology trends; Deep expertise and knowhow in automotive industry-related technology and business processes
    Understanding of application development, EDI, management reporting, and ERP tools in Database, programming languages, analytic tools, marketing CRMs or customer-facing systems, and SAP are desirable
    IT system management skills for various logistics business area
    Strong planning mindset and strategic and critical thinking
    Strong oral and written communication skills
    Ability to lead, train, motivate and manage multi-skilled personnel
    Highly analytical and accomplished in presenting to different levels/audiences
    Education & Experience

    Bachelors Degree Required; Masters Degree Preferred
    Five (5) – Eight (8) Years of Experience in IT or Technology Required
    Six (6) – Nine (9) Years of Experience in IT or Technology Preferred
    Minimum of Three (3) Years of Experience in EDI, Web Services, Rest API in Java, and/or Java Script
    One (1) – Three (3) Years of Supervisor Experience Preferred
    Prior Logistics and/or Automotive Industry Experience Preferred
    Physical Requirements

    Ability to sit in front of a desk and/or in front of the computer for long periods
    Repetitive use of hand/grasping product, writing, and typing
