I started using an erg when I was about 65, having asked my daughter, who was a collegiate rower, the proper technique. Now, at 72, I have a very strong core, a BMI of 18.5, strong legs, and good balance due to my core strength. It’s low impact, but my whole body is engaged. I wear headphones and listen to a good audio book while I am erging so it’s a win win.
