Physical Security Officer Duties
 Ensure the safety and security of the organization’s personnel, property, and data
 Conduct investigations and dispositions of security matters
 Develop and implement controls to ensure preventive security measures are enforced
 Develop and implement security policies and procedures, applying appropriate security standards
 Collect and analyze security data, evaluating existing security procedures
 Supervise security staff including guard security management
 Implement emergency response plans
 Physical security equipment operation management
 Maintain up-to-date knowledge and awareness of security issues
 Develop and implement risk management techniques
 Conduct physical security and risk vulnerability inspections, evaluate and provide recommendations
 lead security awareness training for personnel
 Recommend actions to avoid conditions conducive to threats such as vandalism, terrorism or theft
 Evaluate clearances for management and personnel according to the information and property they may access
 Provides physical audits of corporate facilities based on developed standards and provides written reports to include corrective action recommendations to findings
 Performs additional duties and responsibilities as directed.

Physical Security Officer Responsibilities

 Lead and direct all security, investigative, loss prevention, and risk management activities
 Direct, manage, and coordinate security services
 Oversee all security operations, including emergency response, property protection, and business continuity
 Conduct security risk assessments, audits, and vulnerability studies to identify vulnerabilities and risks, and develop action plans to mitigate them
 Develop and implement cohesive policies, procedures, and training programs
 Support the goals and objectives of the institution to maintain security, safety, and confidentiality
 Promote positive security culture, risk management, and security awareness
Requirement

Education: Associate’s degree or higher
Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, etc)
Related work experience required
Legally authorized to work in the US
