Summary
This position will be responsible for processing AR/AP invoices for Freight Forwarding. Duties include, but are not limited to: data entry, record keeping, monitoring AR/AP, participating in month-end closing, and preparing audits and variance reports. Also, support AHQ and FF B/D operations.
Compensation Range
$57,0000-$68,000/Annually
Responsibilities
Primary
Prepare and Review all AR/AP Invoices
Ensure all charges are billed correctly including: A/R, A/P, Detention, Demurrage, Additional charges, etc.
AR/AP data entry into the operation system
Dispute and follow up detention/demurrage/Chassis invoices with liners, customers, vendors if needed
Manage and report any accessorial charge due to operation issues
Make sure to keep all records related to AR/AP
In charge of auditing and processing travel and expense reimbursement submissions
Participate in month-end closing
Prepare, review, and audit all data entry (rates, GL code, Freight code, etc.) for month-end closing
Prepare month-end report including Journal Entry preparation
Analyze P&L, ReconciliationSecondary
Review payment aging for customers and vendors and Set up new customers and vendor accounts
Ensure all A/R receives and A/P pays in a timely manner
Check vendor statements and make sure to have same balances
Follow up payments with AR/AP HQ accounting department located in Irvine, CA.
Prepare required documents for new vendors & customers accounts and set them up on system
Follow up accounts set-up and SAP codes with AR/AP accounting department
Make sure to have all current accounts info for customers and vendorsTertiary
Other Duties as Assigned

Education and ExperienceHigh School /G.E.D. Required (Bachelors Degree Preferred)
3 Years Direct Experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Freight Forwarding, Accounting, Purchasing Required (4 Years Preferred)
