Inspect dimensional features of parts , thread gauges, pin gauges, drop gauges, optical
comparator and other inspection tools.
Have an extensive understanding of GD&T concept and interpret blueprints. All geometrical tolerance
requirements in the blueprints must be inspected on the parts. The competence of inspectors is critical to
the validity of inspection findings. Competence is understood to encompass both theoretical knowledge
and practical ability.

Full Job Description
Founded in 1975, J.L. Haley Enterprises, a Division of Vander-Bend Manufacturing, specializes in made-to-spec parts that are used in critical medical and transportation applications. This includes the fabrication of large metal weldments, precision sheet metal fabrication, and CNC machining of small, medium, and large devices.

J.L. Haley Enterprises is growing and is looking for a Quality Inspector looking to grow and advance their career. We offer formal classroom and on the job training to advance and develop an individual’s capabilities.

Responsibilities:

Prioritizes which inspections to perform based upon workload and job priorities.
Inspect product at receiving and incoming inspection from suppliers, specifically plating and custom-made parts using applicable measuring tools and test equipment.
Inspect product In-Process (1st Piece) supplied by the operator.
Perform “Lot” inspection on product “ready to” move to the next operation.
Check the product against the print, work order (notes) and other pertinent documentation using applicable measuring tools and test equipment.
Create and compile quality records as defined by the Quality Management System and/or by Customer specific requirements.
Assist the Quality Manager in maintaining of ISO 9001:2015 certifications.
Requirements:

Read and understand basic mechanical drawings
Working knowledge of basic inspection equipment including calipers, micrometers, and height gage.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Good organization skills including good penmanship.
Must work well with others.
