Salary range for this job : $89,000 – $110,000 depends on YOE

The Process Engineer supports the Polymer Processing and facility operations to help improve manufacturing and continued growth. Additionally responsible for the development, implementation of new processes while also maintaining efficient manufacturing processes and workflow throughout the facility.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Supervise daily polymer process and production.
Conceive, design, test and implement new processing techniques.
Work with Technical Department to coordinate research and development activities.
Lead process improvement projects within the facility.
Write and maintain production and quality procedures.
Coordinate supervision of polymer production crews on multiple shifts.
Work safely and collaboratively with management and line personnel.
Lead and maintain operator training records.
Source/purchase raw materials for the facility.
Other related work as needed.
Sophisticated Process Control:Modeling, analysis, and simulation of linear and nonlinear process systems
Model-based control techniques for achieving desired process dynamics
Process Synthesis, Integration & Intensification:Analyze, evaluate and optimize process performance in terms of meeting product specifications, regulatory constraints, and costs
Apply empirical models based on experimental data for flowsheet synthesis of new technologies
Integrate mass, heat, and power to improve the energy efficiency of a process
Synthesize networks for large process plant to integrate water and utilitiesMachine Learning:
Fundamental theory and algorithms for learning supervised classification/regression models
Statistical and optimization principles underlying different algorithms
Basics of Python coding for data analysis
Sophisticated Process Optimization: (In Progress during the current semester)
Optimization-based techniques for process synthesis, process design, and process operability
Model predictive control for process control and optimization
Linear and non-linear programming for process
QualificationsBS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or related fields.
Basic knowledge of HS&E requirements and ISO 9001 methodology.
Proven track record of project and process work.
2 to 5 years of validated experience, chemical plant operations preferred.
