Job Summary:
Due to an integrated role of Product Development and Communication team, this Design Specialist will work with
a Product Design Manager and a Marketing Manager in the organization to develop new Quartz designs as well as
lead the planning, execution and management of a wide variety of digital communications projects to drive brand
awareness and engagement. A creative thinker, this team member will regularly present new and innovative ideas
to the team and sales partners to help achieve organizational, brand and product sales and marketing objectives.Roles & Responsibility
<Product design development>
• Research the target market and design trends.
• Analyze customer unmet needs and bring out insights.
• Develop design strategies and concepts.
• Create new product designs as well as improve existing products.
• Develop prototypes and evaluate test samples.
• Present design proposals to customers.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers.
• Other duties as assigned<Digital Communication>
• Create templates and artwork for social media posts on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and update those as needed: new product launches, catalogs, brochures, care & maintenance, general edits & updates, etc.
• Create and distribute eblasts to customer base and prospects
• Create email templates and lead execution of email campaigns in partnership with team
• Manage email database and analytics; work with team on strategy to grow the database
• Make recommendations on digital marketing tactics that can help achieve our brand goals
• Stay up to date and report on relevant industry competitors’ digital marketing activities (websites, social media, etc.)
• Create presentations on design and marketing activities.
• Other duties as assigned.This is a highly collaborative role, but the successful candidate must be a self-starter requiring minimal supervision. Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
A four-year degree in design required. Two to five years of experience and a demonstrated track record of progressive work in graphic and digital design is required.Skills:
• Adobe Creative Suite • MS Office – Especially strong experience in PowerPoint
• Presentation development, excellent presentation skills
• Ability to excel in a team environment (sales team, marketing team, etc.) but must be able to work with little supervision
• Experience in or exposure to the home improvement industry prefer
• Exposure to design and marketing software such as Salesforce and ability to learn new ones quickly
• Excellent written and verbal communicationEducation and Work Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Product Design or Communications or related field
• Three to Five years of relevant experience prefer
• Other relevant experience will be considered Travel and Work Requirements Periodic for trade shows and customers events; approx. 10-15%
