프롤로그 일부인데,
이 정도면 한국 중학생도 이해할 것 같습니다.
Prologue
Have you ever been broke before though you have a job?
“Unbrokable” is not a word in a dictionary. I invented it. A person who cannot be broke is Unbrokable.
The biggest misconception in our life: If you work hard, you will be a rich. Unfortunately, it will not work that way.
There are a million reasons why someone gets broke: Gambling, drugs, car accidents, etc. I cannot help someone with these. No one can, actually.
But, still, there are millions of people apparently not doing anything wrong, but always being broke. Nothing left after a few payments withdrawn every month.

When I worked at the game store, my daughter was born in 2010. Mortgage bubble burst and severe economic depression came. I had a hard time, but I managed to buy my condo with full cash at a low price.
After having had hardship with money myself and watching people struggling, I started wondering what makes workers in trouble. I am not talking about economic depression, politics, lack of infrastructure, etc. Is there any practical reason for making full time workers broke?
I saw some people still rent an apt even after 30 years of career. That intrigued me. They often work double. Where did all the money go?
I have tried to figure out the reasons for the last 10 years and my finances have improved: from an apartment renter to a condo owner with $640,000 portfolio. My condo was paid off 9 years ago. I chose 50 important, but often disregarded reasons for being broke in this book.
I hope you can enjoy this journey with me. By the time we reach Epilogue, both you and I would be more grown people.
