Program Specialist will manage program development, project co-supervision, and direct community outreach. This role will promote positive community awareness about developmental disabilities, perform public relations, and recruit community partners for projects. As a liaison and advocate for KASEC’s target community, Program Specialist will work together with the Program Team to lead active research on community resources and provide the most up to date information via programs and projects . This position reports to the Program Director.Responsibilities:
The following are descriptions of responsibilities but are not limited to:
Developing and overseeing community outreach projects
Coordinating yearly events and projects
Communicating with external stakeholders to cooperatively plan events and projects
Maintaining positive ongoing relationship with community partners, parents, teachers, and local leadership
Co-planning and coordinating logistics for after school programs with the Program Team
Bringing awareness to the communities and educating them about developmental disabilities
Supporting Early Intervention Project
Advertising projects and programs through social and print media
Creating visual flyers and materials to effectively share resources and projects
Collecting and analyzing data to drive better program outcomes
Overseeing the management of the website, newsletter, Facebook, and Instagram
Researching and identifying resources and services that are helpful to KASEC’s target population
Reaching out to regional centers and other organizations to promote our center and our servicesMinimum Qualifications :
Excellent verbal and written communication
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and G-suite
Able to work full-time (40 hours)
Must have a valid driver’s license and a car
Major in special education, psychology and social work and related field preferred
Bilingual in Korean and English preferredJob Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour
