Position : Specialist or Assistant Manager
Job Description : MAJOR ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Process customer orders, plan & optimize shipments into loads, tender freight to third-party carriers.
o Update Transportation Management System with current shipment information.
o Provide detailed instruction to various customers & associates from other shifts by phone and e-mail.
o Provide visibility to management and the customer by tracking, process over-sight,
auditing, researching and troubleshooting operational issues or functions.
o Complete daily logs and trackers.
o Provides load exception investigation and reporting.
▪ Overall management of outbound transportation and delivery
▪ Schedule and send orders/requests to multiple carriers for outbound shipments distribution center/customers
▪ Document all compliance rate & optimal carrier usage
▪ Ensure all pickup and delivery appointment are made between receiver and
Customer Company’s order lists and tracks orders to ensure on-time delivery (TMS) to receiver.
▪ Develop relationships with all carriers and communicate internal/external challenges between
Customer Company and receivers and develop solutions to the challenges
▪ Reviews scorecard with carriers on a weekly/monthly/quarterly basis to ensure all KPI’s are being met and
develops action plans to ensure compliance to KPI’s
▪ Excellent and prompt communication skills with customers to solve any delivery issues
▪ Excellent interpersonal skills required to communicate effectively with senior level management.
▪ Prepare various reports on daily basis
o Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor
REQUIREMENTS:
o Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Supply Chain Management preferred
o Minimum (1) plus year of experience in Transportation/Supply Chain preferred
o Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize time sensitive situations in a fast paced environment
o Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
o Excellent bilingual communication and interpersonal skills both in Korean and English
o Must be able to learn and regularly operate various computer systems across different platforms
o Must be able to work on weekends when required by Company
