POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for the financial accounting operations of the company manufacturing batteries for electric cars in compliance with all regulatory requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
• Maintain and oversee all financial accounting procedures and processes.
• Prepare, maintain, and analyze balance sheets, income statements, and other financial records and reports.
• Ensure monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements are accurate and submitted on a timely basis in accordance with public company.
• Prepare and analyze reports that summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position accurately and timely, as required.
• Report on financial performance and preparation of monthly reports for leadership review.
• Analyze past results, perform variance analysis; identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements.
• Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
• Create a consolidated budget and review with management for approval.
• Review monthly reconciliations.
• Arrange and oversee financial audits.
• Follows all company, industry standard and OSHA safety procedures.
• Provides support to other departments, as needed.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business administration.
• 5+ years experience in all aspects of accounting.

SKILLS:
• Self-starter with the ability to streamline functions.
• Must possess excellent leadership, communication and presentation skills, and be comfortable interacting with management.
• Strong budgeting, financial forecasting, and financial analysis skill required.
• Strong quantitative and analytical competency.
• Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel.
