시간이 급박하시다면 직접 Social security office에 찾아가셔서 신청하시면 Letter를 줄 꺼에요.
(S.S. office open하기 전에 미리 가셔서 줄을 서서 기다리시기를 권합니다. 대부분의 경우 일단 open하면 사람들이 너무 많이 오고 기다리는 시간이 그만큼 길어져요)
After the SSA processes your application, they’ll give you a letter indicating that a card has been requested. You can show this to anyone who requests a Social Security replacement card.
그 letter에 S.S. card를 신청했다는 내용이 있다고 하며 그 편지를 회사에 보여주면 됩니다.
온라인으로 신청하시면 편하기는 하지만 1주에서 2주 정도 걸린다 하네요.
