저도 이번에 stem opt 에서 h1b change of status 승인 받았는데
change of status 면 벌써 자동으로 opt 는 끝나고 h1b 시작된거예요 자기가 선택을 할수있는게 아니라 다음에 해외 나갈때 스탬프 받으면 되고. 학교에다가 이제 h1b 끝난거 리포트하구요
학교측에서는 원하면 h1b stamp 받는거 defer 할수 있고 f-1 status maintain 해도 된다고 들었습니다
참고로 학교 이메일: “based on the H1b approval if your Approval notice states you can change your status by Consular Processing then you can choose when you wish to change your status. This means you can continue to use the F-1 status while on STEM OPT.”
