They can apply citizenship after 18 years old. One the other hand, when “you” apply citizenship before their 18 years old, they will be granted as citizenship automatically when you get the citizenship.
I think it is better for you to get citizenship before coming back to Korea. Once you surrender your greencard, some says that it is even difficult to visit US later.
