I am a very outgoing person. That scenario usually works if there is no gain from competition. You should experience what Americans call competition. A more casual term may be a cut throat culture.
But I agree with you half. Being an outgoing person in a hostile environment can be tricky, but it can be done. Still I think you need to have something to give. In Korea or here, it’s all about give and take.
