Don’t worry about it. When I was doing my PhD, my advisor (he is Caucasian, American Citizen) told me that I have to be a politician, meaning I didn’t answer what he was asking and I answered in a non-sense way. I think like Korea, I think he means the US politicians don’t answer what is asked. 🙂 Even for many technical interviews, I memorized all the sentences. Now, I can lead many technical meetings even in front of Senior management, I even chair many standard meetings with people from different companies. I think the time will resolve. Just be sure about what you are confident with (e.g., your major). That is the most important thing.
