It is typical for Apple to make everything secrete to candidates if it is a secret project. Even in onsite interviews, they only ask general relevant technical questions without details of project the candidates will work on later if hired. All new employees take a class about secrecy on their first day at Apple.
It is definitely not good for candidates, but it is what it is. Just try if you think it can be worth.
