Completion of first 4 years. A student who was awarded
4 years of academic credit for postsecondary work completed
before 2009 has completed the first 4 years of
postsecondary education. This student generally would
not be an eligible student for purposes of the American
opportunity credit.
즉, 고등학교 졸업 이후, 대학 교육 첫4년간에만 적용되므로
이미 학사 학위가 있는 사람은 적용이 되지 않습니다.
단지, IRS에서 개개인들이 학사 학위가 있는지 알지못하므로
이전에 이런 education credit을 신청하지 않았었다면
현실적으로 credit을 받을 수도 있을 것 같습니다.
