There are two types of people involved in the hiring process: recruiter and non-recruiter. Recruiters don’t know sht so they rely on superficial stuffs like years of experience, previous roles, keywords and brand names on the resume. And then, there are non-recruiters, the current employees who will actually work with the new hires on a day to day basis. They leave no stone unturned to figure out what the candidate is really made of. So, that probably means both aspects are equally important.
