i’d recommend to buy infant car seat and replace it with convertible carseat when the baby gets 10month old.
convertible car seat means it can be both rear facing and forward facing but it’s too big for newborn infant.
infant rear facing only carseat is recommendible for safety.
when the baby outgrows convertible carseat, you might need seat booster to use regular car seatbelt.
i know, there’re lots to learn when it comes to baby stuff. local police office might have free class about installing/using carseat. and buy a baby-related magazine. you’ll get the idea what brand/kind of carseat/stroller to buy.
