어떤 길을 가도 확실한건 없읍니다. 만일 의대쪽으로 마음을 잡아도 많은 시간과 노력을 MCAT 시험준비와 premed course 듣고 공부하는데에 소요하고 노력해서 우수한 성적을 받아도 의대에 합격하는것은 not guaranteed. 보통 의대에서 입학정원의 3배 정도의 applicants 에 interview 를 주고 여러사람과 half day 정도 interview 하는데 여기에 통과하는것은 누구도 확신할 수는 없지요. Harvard나 MIT 에서 3.7 GPA 이상 받고 interview를 대여섯 학교에서 받았는데 의대 한군데도 입학못한 학생들도 있고, 중부 주립학교에서 GPA 3.8에 겨우 한 학교에서 interview 받았는데 합격한 학생도 있읍니다. If your only motivation is pursuing a career with prestige and safe financial rewards, I am not sure how well you will do at interviews. You don’t have to an altruistic person. But you need to have interests in people and be willing to understand pain and suffering at the time of illness.

And quite a number of people drop out of medical school not necessarily because of lack of intellectual capacity to pass courses but because of waning conviction to devote so much efforts to pass them. I have seen many Asian Americans do.
