    The area: Advertising Sales, Sales Operations: Technical Sales Operations

    Sales Technical Support plays a critical role in our company’s success, responding to the technical needs of our advertisers and internal sales teams. We’re a technology group that interacts extensively with advertisers, direct sales, product management and engineering. We provide technical support for all Google ad products and internal workflow applications, and we work collaboratively with all Google sales channels to improve systems performance and quickly resolve support needs.

    The role: Quality Evaluator, AdSense Policy (Temporary)

    Quality Evaluators work on a multilingual team to help us improve the quality of Google’s advertising products. You should be analytical, a quick learner, and committed to improving the advertising experience and helping to enforce policies across Google’s publisher network.

    Quality Evaluators are voracious readers with a broad range of interests. They must have full fluency in the language they’ll be working on and a broad, robust command of internet culture in the relevant language market. Positions are available in the following languages: Arabic, Chinese (Simplified or Traditional), Dutch, English, French, German, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Spanish, Thai, Turkish. Applicants for all languages must be able to read and write English proficiently.

    As a Quality Evaluator – AdSense Policy, you will need to quickly familiarize yourself with the AdSense program policies. You will work with policy, engineering and linguist teams/tools to help ensure that a quality advertising experience is provided to millions of Internet users.

    The expected start dates for this position are February 2011 and April 2011. You will need to have authority to work in the US and will be required to produce documentary evidence to that effect.

    Responsibilities:

    • Work with policy, engineering, and linguist teams/tools to improve our advertising and network quality.
    • Evaluate ads and websites in your language of expertise to help identify areas of concern and interest.
    • Review websites to help enforce Google advertising policies and ensure that our standards are upheld.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
    • Work experience in an office or academic environment preferred.
    • Ability to comfortably review potentially sensitive or offensive material.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills in one of: Arabic, Chinese (Simplified or Traditional), Dutch, English, French, German, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Spanish, Thai, Turkish.
