I have been working for the Federal Government for last 25 years, and still working. My son has been working for the Federal Government for last 3 years. My son applied more than 700 Federal Jobs for10 months after his BA degree from one of top 50 university. He applied administrative, technical, and law enforcement types of jobs. Took him a year to landing a Federal position at Department of Homeland Security as a Law Enforcement Agent. His three years of experiences as a Federal Agent, his basic annual salary is over $90K. My 25 years of Federal service was very joyful! Many Korean-Americans are working for the US Government as an interns, managers, engineers, law enforcement agents, executives, and political appointees.
