Position Overview
The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, documenting, analyzing, testing, and modifying IT systems and programs. The position also requires training users on new functionalities and advising management with enhancement and improvement solutions.

Responsibilities
Responsible for requirement analysis and design
Implementation and testing of application independently
Research for the enhancement and improvement of IT systems; provide suggestions and ideas to management
Determine software/system functional specifications
Monitor and resolve system failures independently
Provide training for new or modified functionalities
Generate data requested by users
Regularly collaborate with customers, vendors, and 3rd party vendors on issues, projects as assigned
Supervise / manage new project processes and coordinate with other departments as needed

Requirements
5+ years hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge as a strong Java Developer using Spring, Hibernate, Postgres, JSP, Servlets, jQuery, and JavaScript
5+ years of experience creating secure RESTful web services in XML, JSON, jQuery, JavaScript
5+ years of Oracle programming experience (PL/SQL) required.
5+ years of EDI development experience preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must
Be a self-starter who can work both independently and within a team in an agile environment.
Ability to manage all aspect/stages of software development lifecycle
Demonstrated experience in working with business personnel preferred to ensure software is configured and tested to meet business requirements
Technical expertise with Oracle and Java WAS Application
Ability to communicate with business team for clear requirement handling

Job Type: Contract to hire

Salary: $50 to $60 /hour
