Telecom/Wireless Technology Company in San Francisco, CA (415) needs Microstrategy/ OLAP Report Developer buiild and maintain reports within our system. You will build Microstrategy reports as defined by the business requirements and functional specifications and work closely with all aspects of the engineering group in order to deliver the required solutions in a timely manner. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree, preferable Computer Sciences or a technical subject. You must have at least 2 years experience with an enterprise level reporting/ OLAP applications such as Oracle Reports, Business Objects, Cognos or Microstrategy (or other SQL intensive tool). A good understanding of logical data modeling and data warehousing concepts (Ralph Kimball et al.) with respect to both star and snowflake schemas. At least 5 years SQL experience, preferably on Teradata. A good understanding of Teradata, Oracle and SQL Server. ASP, XML and XSL programming skills would be beneficial. Development experience across several business areas such as finance, manufacturing and performance management. Good communication and presentation skills. Excellent verbal and written skills. Aptitude for problem solving and making critical decisions on a short time frame. A pro-active personality willing to take the lead where necessary Responsibilities: Focus and major areas of accountability: Implementation of Microstrategy reports to meet the specified business requirements. Contribute towards both system enhancements and new product design. Key deliverables: Follow and enhance best-practices in terms of design, development and documentation standards. Microstrategy reports distributed via Microstrategy Web and Narrowcast Server. Pro-active involvement in continuous performance improvements for existing OLAP systems.
